The Dualtron Storm Ltd is Dualtron's most powerful scooter to date with a top speed of 100km/h. Massive 12 inch tyres deliver a much smooth ride than electric scooters with smaller tyres. Tyre maintenance should be minimal, given the inclusion of Dualtron's no-puncture tyre technology.
Dualtron specify that the maximum range is about 200km, and as usual, this is achieved by riding under testing conditions, unachievable in the real world. At LOCO Scooters we tend to recommend that the achievable range under real-world driving conditions is more like 50% of the manufacturer's max, in this case its 100km on a single charge. This is delivered by a 84V 45Ah LG 21700 battery which is rechargeable from flat in 30 hours using the standard charger or as little as 7 hours using fast chargers which are an optional extra.
The Dualtron Storm Ltd has hydraulic brakes front and rear, accompanied by extremely large 160mm brake discs. With one of the safest braking systems on the market, the Dualtron Thunder also boasts an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) which prevents the brakes from fully locking up or sending the scooter into a skid, an incredibly important feature for a scooter so powerful.
Additional features include the Dualtron fingerprint scanner as an excellent anti-theft measure and an adjustable steering damper which provides stability and security at higher speeds, eliminating any wobble.
This scooter is rated IP54, meaning it is splash-resistant but not fully waterproof.
Water damage is not covered under the standard manufacturer warranty, and LOCO Care water protection is not available for this model.
